My beliefs about teaching and learning focus on providing learning experiences that will make meaningful connections to the knowledge and experiences that students already have. In my classroom, I create an environment where students can interact with concepts and ideas in a way that allows them to understand complex concepts. Student collaboration, class discussions, exploratory experiences, and allowing students to take responsibility for their learning are goals that I strive for. 

Hello potential student! My name is Mrs. Wilkerson. I am a licensed teacher with over eight years of teaching experience. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master’s degree in K-6 education.

My teaching philosophy is "If you don't like your results, change your strategy" so, change your learning strategy today by booking E4Enrichment tutoring sessions.

I welcome the opportunity to support students who are excited about learning.  As an Intervention Specialist who has taught for over 20 years, I know how beneficial repeated practice and scaffolding can be. We all reach those aha learning moments at different times. However, schools have curriculums and curriculums have pacing guides. Some students get it by the end of the learning cycle and some just need a bit more practice.

That’s what I enjoy most - seeing my students “Get It."  My purpose and commitment are clear - to ensure positive learning outcomes for all of my students.
